Our Department is distinguished by a diverse and accomplished body of academic staff whose expertise spans the full spectrum of Human Geography, Physical Geography, and coupled Human–Environment Systems. Through cutting-edge research and innovative teaching, we address some of today’s most pressing societal and environmental challenges.
Our areas of specialization include: Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Environment and Natural Resource Management; Climatology and Climate Change; Biogeography; Hydrology and Water Resources Management; Cartography; Settlement and Human Habitat Studies; Agricultural Geography and Food Security; Geomorphology and Paleogeography; Transportation and Logistics; Regional Planning and Development; Population Geography and Geodemographics; Medical Geography and Disease Ecology; Economic Geography and Regional Studies; as well as advanced Spatial Analytical Techniques.
